Altair Powerlouvre™ Windows - making window automation easy!

Breezway has been designing and manufacturing louvre windows for over 50 years and in recent times has stepped out onto a whole new playing field to deliver the Altair Powerlouvre™ Window.

Built to reach heights up to 2.7 metres and 4 metres wide, the Powerlouvre™ Window electronically manages cross ventilation and natural airflow into the home. This reduces or removes the need for air conditioning altogther which thereby significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions and lowers energy costs.

Displaying superior aesthetics with no visual indication of any motors or automated device, the Powerlouvre™ Window is compatible with wall switches right through to home automation systems to suit a range of budgets and control needs.

Available as a complete Window System or in Component Form

The selection process is made easy as Altair Powerlouvre™ Windows are available as a complete Window System within the Breezway Easyscreen™ Surround Frame.

Delivered to site fully assembled, the Powerlouvre™ Window removes the complexity of sourcing special trades to install motors or program the system.

The option of installing manually controlled Altair™ Louvre Windows and Altair Powerlouvre™ Windows into the same building design is also possible as there is no change to frame types or details, Product Performance Warranty or building installation methods. However, please note that Powerlouvre™ Windows and manual Altair™ Louvres can not be installed into the same window.

Alternatively, the Powerlouvre™ Window can be made available in Component Form by approved Window Fabricators for installation into flat commercial frames or timber frames.

For more information on incorporating Powerlouvre™ Windows into your building design, please visit the Contact Us webpage and speak to a Breezway Representative.

Operating Methods

The Altair Powerlouvre™ Window can be controlled by a simple wall switch or the new Breezway Remote Control System.

The Powerlouvre™ Window can open to 87.5 degrees, automatically stopping at fully open and close positions. Alternatively, the device allows blades to be stopped in any intermediate position throughout the duration of the open/close cycle. The minimal noise from the motor effectively reduces any unnecessary intrusion into the building environment, making the Altair Powerlouvre™ Window highly suited to public buildings and residential designs.

For more information on the new Remote Control System, please go to the Powerlouvre™ Remote Control webpage.

Battery Backup

Please keep in mind that the Powerlouvre™ Window has no integrated battery back up. If the power supply fails, the window cannot be operated. Therefore, if battery back up is required in areas with unreliable power supply, systems are readily available and can be integrated by qualified suppliers.
