Newly modified Altair™ Louvre Window Selection Guide available

Selection GuideOur Altair™ Louvre Window Selection Guide has recently been updated and is a highly sought after brochure, as it provides a step-by-step process for choosing louvre windows that suit individual needs. It is an essential document that was developed to minimise confusion with the decision making process due to the many design concepts that make up Altair™ Louvres.

An online version will be available in the coming months to allow you to create an electronic Altair™ Louvre Window report. This document can be taken to any Breezway window Fabricator and they will help you place your order. If you would like a copy of our brochure, you can click the image or send an email to sales@breezway.com.au. Ideas BookDon't forget Specifiers, we are always happy to provide you the promotional material you need to assist your customers in the best way possible.

We also have a Breezway Ideas Book with a new front cover. The Ideas Book is a great way to promote our products to End Users. This brochure is educational and illustrates the different applications in which Louvre Windows can be incorporated into a home or office building.

For a copy, please use the email address above or click on the image.

Design Manual request forms

Our new Design Manual clearly illustrates all the important technical elements that make up each of our products including test reports, installation instructions, features and benefit lists, warranty information etc. It is a very useful source for Architects and Building Designers in particular. *New* Fakro Skylight products are on the way!

Our Fakro Skylights are a key aspect to our proposition of bringing light, air and space to any contemporary building design. We have been working with Fakro to develop a range of blinds and accessories to choose from, so you can live comfortably in your home or office environment.
Products soon to arrive will include:

  • An Electric powered Fakro Skylight with automatic rain sensors. This can be controlled by remote or wall switch.
  • Electric powered and manually operated Venetian Blinds for Fixed and Opening Fakro Skylights

For your interest, we already offer manually operated Blockout Blinds in Beige for our Fixed Fakro Skylights. Click here for installation instructions.

Breezway introduces Low e coated clear glass blades

Low e coatings are microscopically thin and invisible to the naked eye and are used to increase the insulating properties of glass. This means that the insulating benefits of low e glass can be combined with the ventilation benefits of Altair™ Louvres to make a more energy efficient window which keeps homes cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Energy efficient windows not only lead to a reduction in a home’s running costs, but also a reduction in the amount of damaging greenhouse gasses released into our atmosphere from the running of power-hungry heating and cooling systems.

Breezway Low e Clear Glass Blades are available from 1 August 2007.

Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre project profile

The Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre underwent a $14 million upgrade, designed to specifically reinforce environmental sustainability while enhancing the comfort and aesthetic appeal of the building. Breezway Altair™ Louvre Windows provided the new design with natural ventilation, the option to motorise the louvres and the proposal that they could be used in conjunction with a mixed mode air-conditioning system. The design incorporated the louvres in an interesting manner where they were used extensively in the foyer area, creating a suitable dramatic entrance which fulfilled an important role in the cultural and social life of the area. Click here to view the complete project profile.

DIFOT Update

There are two internal DIFOT measures for the business - Headline DIFOT & Customer DIFOT.

For those of you who are unaware what DIFOT means, it stands for ‘Delivered In Full and On Time’.

Headline DIFOT is a broad measure of Coorparoo manufacturing performance. However, to ensure we deliver quality products and services to our customers in the most accurate and efficient way, we have also developed Customer DIFOT as the primary KPI of the business. It is calculated based upon headline DIFOT from all sites but also includes the number of credit notes, reworks, service jobs and alterations to orders. While this measure is extremely tough, we believe it demonstrates the direct impact our business has on our customers.

Over the last twelve months we have significantly improved our headline and customer DIFOT – since the 29th of May we have maintained a headline DIFOT of 100% and customer DIFOT above 92%.

Furthermore, we are very careful to ensure that only the highest quality products leave our factory. Each order is now subject to a final quality inspection before despatch (you will notice the new checklists attached to all orders despatched from our factory) and this has further improved the satisfaction levels enjoyed by our customers.

Please note: Breezway offers a five day lead time for Altair™ Louvre Window components and surround frames. Fakro Skylights and Access Ladders are also held locally in Sydney and are despatched within 48 hours of order placement.
