Altair Powerlouvre™ Window *WINS* Design Award

AwardOn 29th September 2007, the Breezway Altair Powerlouvre™ Window was acknowledged for excellence in design when it received the prestigious Australian Window Association Design Award for the “Most Innovative Window System”. Our very own Sales & Marketing Manager for Australia, Mr David Brogan, had the honour of accepting the award on behalf of Breezway, and it was a very significant and proud event for our business.

Breezway’s new Altair Powerlouvre™ Window with patents pending is a fully integrated stylish automated louvre that is easy to operate in high, out of reach locations. Some of the outstanding features that contributed to the win include the improved aesthetics it brings to automated windows, the innovative technology it introduces, and the way the Powerlouvre™ Window has been enthusiastically welcomed by the market over the last ten months. Also of considerable note, the Easyscreen™ Surround Frame (which is part of the Powerlouvre™ Window System) was introduced to the market with an exceptionally positive response.

Ian Frame, Executive Director of the AWA comments, “The AWA congratulates Breezway for its ground-breaking innovation. The increased popularity of this year’s Awards is indicative of the exciting growth of new product designs, of which the Altair Powerlouvre™ Window System was a leader. Australian window manufacturers and suppliers like Breezway have responded cleverly to current consumer demand for simplicity, energy efficiency, sound reduction and improved security.”

Breezway Tackles Quality Control
Breezway have recently taken a leap towards improved customer satisfaction by making sure every Altair™ Louvre Window component or surround frame leaving our factory in Australia, is of the highest standard of quality. The following production tags and stickers have been put in place to:
  • Reduce site damage due to keylocked windows being forced open,
  • Reduce transit damage, and
  • Provide more confidence to our customers in the quality of the products that we supply.
Production Tags & Stickers include:
  • A tag to remind tradesmen to unlock the keylock before attempting to open the window using the handle – this tag aims to reduce the amount of damage to our windows, and subsequent inconvenience caused,
  • A ‘fragile’ sticker to remind couriers to treat our products carefully – this sticker aims to reduce the quantity of windows damaged in transit,
  • A ‘tested’ sticker showing which components of the window have been checked, and
  • A sticker communicating that the Powerlouvre™ Window wiring has been tested and is operational,
  • A sticker used to identify and indicate which side of the blade is coated with Low E.
Energy Link Now *LIVE*

Breezway have launched our very own Energy weblink which includes vital information on each of our products and the impact they have on the environment in the fight against global warming.

Breezway Altair™ Louvre Windows are an extremely energy efficient window choice in that they allow maximum natural ventilation to cool homes. Making use of natural, cooling ventilation removes the need for power hungry air conditioning systems. This reduces the amount of electricity that homes consume and therefore reduces the amount of greenhouse gasses that are emitted in the production of electricity.

Breezway Fakro Skylights are quite similar to Louvre Windows in regards to the way they allow natural light and ventilation into a room which also reduces the need for air conditioning and artificial lighting as daylighting becomes part of our daily lives. Breezway Fakro Access Ladders on the other hand, have a thermally insulated trapdoor which helps retain the integrity of the ceiling insulation in the roof.

Light. Air. Space. And a healthier environment. That’s what we’re all about at Breezway.
