Altair™ Louvre Galleries continue to scale new heights with the introduction of longer louvre galleries.  Available in blade counts of up to 21 and 33 for 152mm blades and 102mm blades respectively Altair™ Louvre windows can now reach heights of up to 3060mm without the use of transoms.

3m tall Altair™ Louvre Windows add a new dimension to the energy efficiency of homes.  With no fixed panes and blades that open almost horizontally, Altair™ Louvre Windows allow cooling breezes more effectively than any other window type.  At full height they also use convection to create a natural thermal chimney with cool air entering near the floor and hot air rising and leaving the room near the ceiling.  This makes them not only a great feature window, but also a great energy saving feature as the natural ventilation reduces the reliance on power hungry air conditioning to cool the home.

To accommodate the new maximum heights handle and keylock positions on all sizes have been updated.

New maximum Altair Louvre Window heights:

Previously only available as a complete window system in an Easyscreen™ Frame, the Altair Powerlouvre™ Window is now available in a component form.  This allows installation in timber and flat commercial framing systems. 

Correct installation of component Powerlouvre™ Windows (including the use of Breezway weatherstrips) ensures that the Product Performance Warranty is unaffected and Component Powerlouvre™ Windows are compliant with AS2047.

Component Powerlouvre™ Windows are limited to a maximum height of 9 blades (1340mm when 152mm blades are used & 890mm when 102mm blades are used)

Fabricators wishing to assemble Component Powerlouvre™ Windows will need to undergo training before orders are accepted.

Breezway has now released a Bannister Kit to make climbing in and out of the roof a safer and easier task. The Bannister Kit itself is mounted to the ladder casing and has metal flat-bars which are also mounted on the entrance side to enhance and strengthen the construction.

The LXB Bannister Kit comes in one size 700 x 1300mm and is 950mm high so it can be adjusted to fit any Timber or Metal Fakro Access Ladder on the market.

Please note: Trim to size may be required depending on the size of the Fakro Access Ladder you have installed.

Breezway has recently introduced a Fakro Metal Access Ladder alongside our Timber Access Ladder for your individual preference.

Great for storing light-weight seasonal items or accessing maintenance in your roof, Breezway Fakro Access Ladders provide safe access to your loft.

New Metal Access Ladder features include:

• Robust construction with a maximum load capacity of 200kgs.
• Durable hinges which have a high load resistance due to the use of double joints.
• Insulated trapdoor to reduce heat loss (raw beige finish).
• Special seal around the perimeter of the trapdoor to keep dust and insects out of the home.
• Brown stile end caps protect the floor from scratching.
• The shape of the ladder allows for comfortable gripping while climbing.
