Family-Friendly Home, Elegant & Spacious Open Plan Design
New South Wales, Australia
The Creer House is a contemporary family-friendly residential design by Hancock Architects which accommodates the needs of the clients and their two children while still having room to entertain a large extended family.
The brief given to Hancock Architects from the clients included a desire for an open plan living area that opened up to a spacious entertaining rear yard and swimming pool. As a result, the house was designed as two individual modules with an adjoining circulation passage to allow air and natural light to be dispersed throughout the house.
The home displays modern elegance with clean, simple lines yet has a sense of serenity and creates a warm inviting feeling for the household occupants to enjoy.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are on the upper level of the house while the ground floor contains a separate family room and other spaces designed for different usages in mind, resulting in an ‘L’ shaped open living plan.
There are walls in this building that are fully glazed to the rear garden, to open up the home and bring the outside in so the family can connect with their outdoor surroundings. Breezway Altair Louvre Windows have been cleverly specified by the architect due to their sophisticated appearance and clean, smooth lines that adds to the elegant nature of the home. They assist with uninterrupted views, natural light and abundant ventilation into the house to keep a naturally comfortable environment.
