The Innoscreen® Window System

Suitable for internal screen applications

The Innoscreen Window System is an aluminium window frame with provision for a screen to the inside of the window. It is the ideal framing option for those who want to screen their home but keep that ‘louvre look’ and optimise the external aesthetics of the building. The Innoscreen Window System is also safer and saves time, as windows above the ground floor are easily screened from inside the building. Makes for safe and simple screen cleaning too! Recent improvements to the Innoscreen System include:

  • Deeper and wider inside screen pocket to fit a greater variety of screen types.
  • Streamlined fixed lite bays for a cleaner aesthetic look.
  • Returns have been added to the outside of the jambs and sills for ease of installation into thinner wall types.
  • Jamb and sill coupling points are now identical to the Easyscreen Window System, allowing couplers designed for the Easyscreen Frame to be used with the improved Innoscreen Frame.

For projects where sub framing is the preferred installation method, Sub Framing is available for the Innoscreen Window System.

For Window heights ≤ 791mm:
Combined Window and Sub Framing height = Window height + approximately* 45mm

For Window heights ≥ 792mm:
Combined Window and Sub Framing height = Window height + approximately* 30mm

Combined Window and Jamb Angles width = Window Width + approximately* 24mm *To be confirmed by installer.

Innoscreen Standard Heights

 

While Altair Louvre Windows can be manufactured in any size specified, the wind and water rating for the building project will affect the maximum allowable window height and bay width. Please refer to the Altair Product Performance Warranty for technical information.

For standard heights in the Breezway Innoscreen Frame please see the size chart to the right. Off Standard heights are available but this will add cost and result in a fixed louvre blade to act as a filler piece. The sizes for Altair Powerlouvres in an Innoscreen Frame are also highlighted to the right.

Please note:

  • Standard Heights are measured from the lowest visible metal to the uppermost visible metal of the frame and excludes fins.
  • Off Standard Heights that are more than 5mm greater than or less than a Standard Height will have a top fixed blade to achieve the specified height. Off Standard heights that are within 5mm of a Standard Height will not have a fixed top blade.
  • Some off-standard heights are unavailable when using the 102mm Altair Louvre Galleries with the Stronghold System. For the Innoscreen System these include: Standard Frame Height + 26mm to Standard Height + 37mm.
  • Non-standard frame heights ≤42mm greater than a standard frame height are not available for 152mm Powerlouvre in the Innoscreen Frame.
  • Non-standard frame heights ≤44mm greater than a standard frame height are not available for 102mm Powerlouvre in the Innoscreen Frame.
  • Refer to the product performance warranty on possible height restrictions for different blade types.
  • Standard sizes will save money and improve lead times.

Innoscreen Widths

 

There are no standard Altair Louvre widths. The desired window width can be achieved through multiple louvre bays (maximum bay width is 4000mm). The bay width may be affected by Building code rules. Please discuss with your Breezway Dealer and builder.

Altair Powerlouvre Windows

  • Maximum width = 4000mm (frames over these dimensions will need to be coupled on site or at a window fabricator’s factory)
  • Minimum bay width for 2-9 blade high windows = 400mm
  • Minimum bay width for 10-18 blade high windows = 500mm
  • Up to 6 galleries (bays) can be included in a single surround frame
  • Combination louvre and fixed light bays are available

Altair® Louvre REVIT Models

REVIT models of selected Innoscreen Window Systems are now available through the Design Content website or can be downloaded below. REVIT models are generated and maintained by Design Content.

Please note: While sizing logic has been built into the models, Breezway’s Product Performance Warranty should be consulted to determine maximum blade lengths and maximum window heights for each project’s wind and water ratings.

While the REVIT models do not show fixed blades when off-standard heights are specified, windows at off-standard heights will be supplied with fixed blades.

Altair Louvre Window Recommended Specifications

A tight specification will help to make sure that what you specify ends up in your building thereby achieving your design objectives.

The louvre windows shall be Breezway Altair Louvre Windows

Unique features:

  • Patented drainage channels for superior water performance.
  • Patented ‘Living Hinge’ design that pulls the clips tightly against the channel when closed for superior water performance and air infiltration.
  • Passed testing to 40,000 open/close cycles for long operational life.
  • Altair Louvres have passed AS2047 testing at 3,000mm high.

The louvre windows shall be Breezway Altair Powerlouvre Windows

Unique features:

  • Patented drainage channels for superior water performance.
  • Patented ‘Living Hinge’ design that pulls the clips tightly against the channel when closed for superior water performance and air infiltration.
  • Motors are concealed within the head of the window frame.
  • Motors are easily accessible for maintenance.
  • Each low voltage motor only requires 0.25 amps to reduce transformer and wiring requirements.
  • Motors can be powered by appropriately specified transformers from any supplier.
  • Available as either a fully assembled window system or as a component system for installation into window fabricator’s framing systems.
