The ‘Mothership’, State-of-the-Art Luxury Boat
New South Wales, Australia
The ‘Mothership’ is the world’s first solar powered houseboat. Designed to be a family boat or a corporate entertainer, the Mothership encompasses all the state-of-the-art features that excel luxury and comfort for anyone aboard the boat. With electric motors, the Mothership is self-sufficient and non-polluting.
A modern alternative to beach house living, this luxurious apartment on the water stands out from the rest as no other boat of its size offers as much liveable space to enjoy the tranquillity of the ocean life. Travel the waterways and enjoy the calm, relaxing motions on the water in an eco-friendly manner.
This electric boat is almost maintenance free, and is also very reliable, easy to operate and cost-efficient. It is estimated by the motor manufacturers that the only maintenance required is the renewal of the main bearing in 20 years’ time.
The upper deck is very spacious with over 30 square meters of shaded open space equipped with two lounger, outdoor sofas and a cocktail area. The main deck is where the Mothership offers the luxury and space equal to a boat twice her size and cost. The comfortable sofas are placed on small plinths allowing easier viewing of the natural world outside. There is also access to sleeping accommodation and two generous bathrooms with shower, toilet and washbasin.
At the after end of the boat, there is a comfortably large galley/dining room. Bifold doors and Breezway Altair Louvre Windows open up the boat to offer ventilation and allow a connection with the surrounding environment. Occupants can watch the beautiful natural world go by with uninterrupted views, listen to birdsong and gentle lapping of water due to the design of the Altair Louvre Windows.
