Sheep Station, Fresh Breezes & Picturesque Farmland Views
Illford, New South Wales, Australia
The Ilford Sheep Station was recently featured on the popular TV program, Grand Designs Australia. Rado Marjanac from Marjanac Designs in collaboration with his clients transformed an old working sheep property at Ilford into a relaxed and comfortable home design in the central tablelands of New South Wales.
The clients of the Ilford Sheep Station provided a brief to Rado to create a hilltop escape from their busy lives as doctors that would be a tranquil and enjoyable place for their family of six to live. The home was to be something agricultural, yet simple in its styling with materials that were generated from its rural setting.
Breezway Altair Louvre Windows are featured next to fixed lite glazing around the home to help make the most of fresh natural breezes and uninterrupted views of the picturesque farmland surrounding the property.
There were many challenges that were faced along the way due to its off-the-map location, unpredicted weather and structural changes made by the clients however the team forge ahead to produce a farmhouse that exceeded their expectations.
