Timber Louvre Windows Provide Shade and Breezes

Bedarra Island, Queensland, Australia

Timber is a predominate feature of this environmentally friendly, Balinese-styled home.

Located on the tropical coast of Far North Queensland, Altair Louvre Windows have been incorporated throughout the exotic design to maximise the benefits of natural ventilation no matter which direction the wind is blowing.

The product specified is black Altair Louvre Galleries with colour matched clips, standard handles and western red cedar timber blades. Not only do these attractive timber blades allow natural ventilation in when open, but they also block out the hot sunlight, have great insulating properties and provide privacy at the same time.

Award winning Designer, Chris Van Dyke has done an amazing job opening up the home to its natural surroundings so building occupants can enjoy fresh breezes and the spectacular views of the tropical islands on the horizon.
