Whale Watcher House with Breezway Louvres
SUNSHINE COAST, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA
‘Whale Watcher’ is a three-storey, 700m2 architectural home designed by Adrian Ramsay Design House. Situated in Point Arkwright the home is open plan, and features Breezway Louvre Windows with broad views of the Sunshine Coast Coastline.

The entry was coming in under the pool, therefore there were structural requirements necessary. Three concrete blades were formed for the pool to sit on. Adrian Ramsay Design House were able to sculpt voids within the blades, creating a picture framing effect, this allowed light to flood through.
The ground floor holds a gym, four-car garage, full bathroom, and entry and lift access. The first floor houses a theatre, bar, laundry, four bedrooms, powder room and bathroom. Two bedrooms have rear garden access, while the other two have sea views. The top floor features the main bedroom and ensuite, powder room, butler’s pantry, a large kitchen, living room, dining, pool and a large outdoor living area.
‘Whale Watcher’ was recently featured on Australia’s Best House on 9Life.
