Karaka Bay Residential Home

Auckland, New Zealand

Breezway Altair Louvre Windows were recently incorporated into a project on a renovation show called the Kiwi Dream which aired in November 2013 on PRIME TV in New Zealand.

The project, a 1950’s property has until recently, been kept by the one family for 60 years and has barely been touched since it was built. The home is situated on a cliff top above Karaka Bay with magnificent uninterrupted views of the Hauraki Gulf.

The owners wanted to transform the property into a ‘Kiwi Dream’ by adding a modern feel whilst keeping the initial 1950’s Californian bungalow style architecture. A team of experts, put together by Refresh Renovations, were brought in to help achieve the dream.

Altair Louvre Windows can be seen in the master bedroom to allow fresh air to flow into the home while maximising the breath-taking, unobstructed views of Karaka Bay. This flow of fresh ventilation will also help reduce condensation and the build-up of mould to ensure a healthy living environment all year round.

Of course, there are times when the family will want to keep the weather out and when closed, Breezway Altair louvres seal tight to ensure superior performance. This means that cold drafts will never be a problem and the windows won’t leak, even in extreme weather.
