Metricon Display Home Catalina 64 – Modern European Design

SURFERS PARADISE, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA

The Catalina 64 Display Home in Surfers Paradise showcases how thoughtful design and natural ventilation strategies can work together to create a luxurious yet comfortable living environment. Designed around expansive, light-filled spaces, the home embraces the Australian indoor-outdoor lifestyle through seamless connections between living areas, entertaining zones and the surrounding environment.

Breezway Altair Louvre Windows were incorporated throughout the home to maximise natural airflow and enhance occupant comfort. Positioned to capture prevailing breezes and encourage cross-ventilation, the louvres help fresh air move efficiently through the residence, reducing reliance on mechanical cooling while maintaining a comfortable indoor climate. Their ability to provide high levels of ventilation, even in compact window openings, makes them an ideal solution for large contemporary homes where thermal comfort and energy efficiency are priorities.

In addition to supporting natural ventilation, the louvres contribute to the home’s abundant natural light and open, airy atmosphere. Adjustable blades allow occupants to control airflow, privacy and weather protection, creating flexible living spaces that respond to changing conditions throughout the day. This complements the Catalina’s focus on refined, connected living, where natural light and ventilation are key elements of the overall design experience.

The result is a showcase home that demonstrates how Breezway louvres can enhance luxury residential design by delivering improved ventilation, increased occupant comfort, reduced energy consumption and a stronger connection to the outdoor environment.
