Northside Christian College is recognised as a leader in Education Innovation*. The Centre for Innovation and Creativity (CInC) caters for their award-winning Challenge Based learning program and houses individualised learning within an innovative interdisciplinary framework.
Like the pedagogy it houses, the building has evolved from a collaborative process with staff, and observations of student’s existing learning practices. The result are spaces which encourages community gatherings, informal and formal learning, honouring and displaying the student’s talents, and nurtures small to large group or individualised learning. The unique physical and pedagogical environment enables students to move throughout the three-storey building tailoring personalised interdisciplinary experiences in art, design, film, drama, dance and music. Breezway Louvre Windows have been incorporated into these spaces to help naturally ventilate the areas and stimulate learning.
The CInC prepares students with a tertiary-inspired state of the art facility, enabling personalised interdisciplinary experiences to ready students for the next phase of their lives and their roles as valuable members of the local and global community.
