Good sealing and relatively thick glass provides effective noise insulation barrier (up to Rw35).

Thermal Insulation

Breezway Louvres are fully energy rated and offer low U-values (between 2.4 and 6.9) with all ratings publicly available on the Window Energy Rating Scheme website.

Low Maintenance

Designed, tested and made to order in Australia with a warranty of up to 10 years. No regular maintenance beyond cleaning and periodic operation. If a louvre blade is broken, plywood can be easily cut to size and installed while a replacement blade is sourced.

Proven ability to safely retain blades using the Stronghold System. Toughened glass with arrised edges are more than 4 times stronger than annealed glass. IGLU blades offer soft seal-on-seal closure. Also safe to clean above ground level.

Reduced Transmission of Infectious Illnesses

The most effective single intervention (to reduce SARS-CoV-2 aerosol transmission in schools) was natural ventilation through the full opening of six windows all day. Combined interventions (i.e. natural ventilation, masks and HEPA filtration) were the most effective.

Reduced Transmission of Infectious Illnesses

An investigation into the infection risk of health care works in different wards with different window sizes in two hospitals during the 2003 SARS outbreak in Guangdong found that larger ventilation windows showed a lower infection risk.

Decreased Energy Consumption

A study of 39 offices at Sydney University in 2002 identified annual energy savings on heating and cooling of 79%. – Rowe & Dinh, 2001. An Experiment with Hybrid Ventilation: A More Sustainable Approach To Thermal Comfort.

Improved Learning Outcomes

Controlled studies in 1999 and 2000 showed that as ventilation rates increase, children perform school work with greater speed. And the performance of adults was also shown to improve at higher ventilation rates.

In a study of 3,720 employees across 40 buildings, the researchers found a consistent relationship between the rate at which outdoor air was supplied for ventilation and the amount of sick leave taken.
